Indian Arts Academy

The Indian Arts Academy is actively involved in promoting Indian Classical Music and bringing both Classical and Indian Light music to the audience of Melbourne and other parts of Australia. The Academy has regularly introduced numerous, extremely talented young artists from overseas. The performances promoted by the Academy have always been very successful and well appreciated by the patrons. Laya Gana, Geethalaya and Young Geethalaya, which is the shoot of Geethalaya, has enabled many young children to perform with professional standards which has surprised the public.

Sri Yogaraja Kandasamy founded the Academy with the aim of developing and promoting Indian culture and it's spirit through classical Carnatic Music and such related activities, whereby it contributes positively to the principles multiculturalism in Australia.

As immigrant-parents of children growing up in a new and challenging environment, we all are concerned for our children's cultural development. To this end we have chosen, Indian Arts Academy with the vision of educating and training our children in traditional music.
